The definition of yoga is citta vritti nirodhah - the controlling of the mind.
ASHTANGA Yoga literally means "eight-limbed yoga," as outlined by the sage Patanjali in the Yoga Sutras. According to Patanjali, the path of internal purification for revealing the Universal Self consists of the following eight spiritual practices:
- Yama [moral codes]
- Niyama [self-purification and study]
- Asana [posture]
- Pranayama [breath control]
- Pratyahara [sense control]
- Dharana [concentration]
- Dhyana [meditation]
- Samadhi [absorption into the Universal]
IYENGAR - Yogacharya B.K.S. Iyengar with his intellectual and spiritual practices has masterminded the techniques which can be used by all practitioners of yoga. "Research based experience" and "experience based research" has helped him in evolving this technique which is now known as "Iyengar Yoga". He has therefore made it possible for ordinary human beings to experience the wisdom of the yoga sutras. Iyengar yoga is meant for all and is a way of life. The use of props, such as wooden gadgets, belts, ropes helps the practitioner to achieve perfection in any asana. Regular practice of 'Iyengar Yoga' definitely integrates the body, mind and emotions.

YOGA FLOW is a dynamic moving meditation, beginning with standing series and then finishes with seated postures. A class designed to rejuvenate and reawaken the senses, an inspirational mixed level class.
HATHA is the most commonly practiced style of Yoga in the United States. The word hatha is derived from the Indian words for sun (ha) and moon (tha), which is why this style is often referred to as the yoga of "opposite pairs." Hatha yoga is a low-impact exercise for the body and mind. It combines different asanas, or postures, with a deep breathing technique called pranayama to promote flexibility, balance and relaxation.
VINYASA is a more rigorous style of Yoga building heat, flexibility, strength, patience and focus. In this class we flow from one posture to the next, moving through sun salutations linking breath and movement.
YIN YOGA targets the connective tissue of the hips, pelvis and spine. Gentle floor poses are held for three to five minutes at a time with the muscles relaxed. Deeply held stressand tension are released, chi (energy) flow is harmonized and flexibility and alignment are improved.
