JULIE DAKIN has practiced yoga for ten years and is a graduate of the Avalon Yoga Teacher Training and Certification Program in Palo Alto, CA, where she apprenticed with John Berg. She has trained with Max Strom, Ganga White, Desiree Rambaugh and Kelly KcGonigal.
Her style is Iyengar combined with Vinyasa Flow where the breath is synchronized with movement and the poses flow from one pose to the next. Her love and devotion to Yoga have led her to a path of sharing her passion with others. She loves to inspire her students and fully enjoys the transformation she sees with her students by helping them develop the mind, body and spirit connection. Julie is also affiliated with The Art of Yoga Project where she teaches high risk teens (girls incarcerated in the juvenile system), Yoga Theory, Asana and Art. Julie loves to share her passions and connect with the girls and bring them to a higher awareness of connection to body, mind and spirit.
CHERYL DECOOK MORGAN has completed over 1200 hours of training in Yoga Instruction & Ayurveda. She has taught hundreds of yoga classes since she began teaching in 2003. She has completed training at the International Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Centre, BikramÕs Yoga College of India, and Yin yoga workshops with Paul Grilley and Sarah Powers among others.In 2010 she graduated from the Kerala Ayurveda Academy and is a Certified Ayurvedic Wellness Counselor.
RENEE MENDRALA has been practicing yoga for over 10 years and loves being a student. She is certified in both Ashtanga and Prenatal Yoga. Her current passion is Prenatal, which she was personally inspired by with the birth of her daughter a year ago. She likes to weave into her classes her own personal experiences, in a lighthearted way.(We will definitely add her prenatal class in our schedule).
Teaching Flow/Hatha /Vinyasa classes are always fun for her.Integrating a bit of humor is essential, while motivating and challenging her students is her foremost priority.
MANJIRI SUBHASH As a chubby teenager, Manjiri was first attracted to yoga to lose weight. Over the years, not only did she lose the weight, she gained in its place strength, flexibility, balance, endurance, energy and deep joy. Manjiri believes that consistency is the only prerequisite for yoga and every practice is a step forward towards personal transformation.
Yoga takes me to a place between heaven and earthÐ a place of great clarity and openness, and after the practice I feel centered and balanced,Ó she says about her personal practice. Through carefully thought out sequences of movement and breath work, Manjiri strives to impart the same experience to her students.
